This Secondary Education Boarding facility has a 40-bed capacity with provision for future expansion.  The facility includes:

• administration areas
• student common areas
• service areas; and
• recreational facilities, including a swimming pool
• senior boarders are accommodated in 8 rooms that each have twin beds
• junior boarders are accommodated in 6 rooms that each have 4 beds.

The facility is located at Wadeye (Port Keats) which is situated in the coastal lowlands south-west of Darwin facing the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf.  It is the sixth largest town, by population, in the Northern Territory, has the largest Aboriginal community and is the main service to the greater Thamarrurr Region, which includes around 20 outstations.  The facility is adjacent to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic School (OLSH) which has a secondary campus, new library, science block, refurbished trade training centre and kitchen.  The school caters for students from Preschool to Year 12 and is a bilingual school, providing instruction for students in their first language, Murrinh-Patha in the early years and religion.
