  • A designated trainer to guide you with learning and assess your progress.
  • Opportunities for working directly with AHL’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients; and
  • Enhanced prospects for your career development.

See below stories from three successful National Office Trainees...

CINDLE LONGFORD - Training and Industrial Relations Section, Human Resources Division

‘I applied for a Traineeship because I felt this was a great opportunity to get a foot in the door to the Australian Public Service. The experience I have gained from my traineeship work and from my workplace colleagues is invaluable.  It is a great qualification to have and I plan to stay in the APS for many years to come.’

TAYLOR CAMERON - Personnel Administration Section, Human Resources Division

‘I applied for the Traineeship at AHL to try something new. I wanted to work in an Indigenous organisation to enhance my long-term employment skills and learn more about Indigenous culture. Also I thought it would be a great opportunity to start my career off.’

      ----------------------------------------------

JESSICA DONNELLY - Finance and Office Services Section, Finance and Property Division

‘I applied for this traineeship because I thought it would be a good way to get into the Australian Public Service, gain knowledge and experience and to also learn more about my culture.’
