About this hostel
28 resident units (24 contain 2 single beds, 4 are family rooms and contain 3 single beds), with attached bathrooms. Five pairs of rooms (2 pairs with 3 single beds per room, 3 pairs with 2 single beds per room) have adjoining doors that can be opened to house larger families.

Hostel story
Yumba means ‘camp’. Yumba Hostel was AHL’s first hostel to be built, back in 1974. Originally the hostel was called ‘Yumbi’ which is masculine. It was later renamed to Yumba in 1982 (which includes women).
