Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is looking for a reliable and motivated Night Attendant to join our team in Sid Ross Hostel, Alice Springs and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our facilities and hostels. What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: $59,520 - $64,877 per annum (pro-rated for part-time). You’ll receive an above-award salary, 15.4% superannuation, and generous leave entitlements to make sure you’re well looked after.
  • Remote Locality Allowance: Employees are entitled to the payment of $6,529/annum with eligible dependants or $3,596/annum without eligible dependants.
  • Generous shift penalties apply for work after hours, weekends and public holidays. Work pattern for the Night attendant role in Sid Ross hostel is a fulltime role of 75 hours/fortnight and includes 53.66 hours of 30% after hours penalty rates,10.67 hours of 50% Saturday penalty payments and 10.67 hours of 100% Sunday penalty rates payments.
  • Regular salary packaging options for vehicles, superannuation and laptops etc PLUS, ability to salary sacrifice $15,900 per FBT year for rent, mortgage or living expenses. This benefit reduces taxable income, increasing fortnightly take-home pay.

Key Responsibilities: Night Attendant

  • Maintain the security of premises, monitor premises to preserve order and protect property.
  • Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of residents, staff and visitors.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Perform other general cleaning duties to ensure hostel grounds, gardens, windows, and the property are kept clean, tidy and clear for residents.

Eligibility:

  • provide evidence of Australian Citizenship
  • undergo a satisfactory National Criminal History Check (prior to engagement)
  • Hold and maintain a Working with Children Check in NT (prior to engagement).
  • meet Fitness for Duty requirements (prior to engagement)
  • hold or obtain relevant qualifications
