Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is looking for reliable and motivated Night Attendants to join our team and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our facilities and hostels. 

Hostel Workers are required to work as part of a team, providing a high level of customer service to AHL residents, including attending to resident requests in a professional and courteous manner. Whilst regular duties will be as a Night Attendant, successful applicants may be required from time to time perform other duties as directed by Hostel Manager or Assistant Hostel Manager to ensure a high level of service is maintained.

Key Responsibilities: Night Attendan

  • Maintaining the safety of residents and the security of the premises.
  • Monitoring and authorising entrance and departure of residents, staff and visitors.
  • Responding to emergencies.
  • Reporting activity and irregularities, including damage to property or maintenance issues, presence of unauthorised persons or other unusual occurrences.
  • Performing general cleaning duties to ensure the hostel is kept clean and tidy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for excellence in customer service.
  • Relevant experience and qualifications are a bonus but not required for APS2 roles 
  • The health and fitness to participate in an active role.
  • The ability to follow procedures and work independently.
  • A positive attitude and a friendly nature. 

Eligibility: 

  • Candidates must have Australian citizenship
  • Ability to get and maintain police check and a Working with Children Check.
