The key duties of the position include:
- Managing and supporting Microsoft 365 stack, VMware, Citrix, Windows Server/Desktop, and network infrastructure
- Implementing security updates aligned with Essential 8
- Mentoring junior team members and working closely with internal stakeholders
- Contributing to ICT projects and improvements across our national network
- Other duties as directed by the ICT Architect or Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking employees who are agile, innovative and energised by high-paced work. You would be our ideal candidate if you have 7 years’ experience or more in ICT systems administration. You have a strong understanding of Microsoft, Citrix and networking services. You are proactive, adaptable and thrive in a close-knit team environment.
Our ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in IT or progression to the achievement of the qualification. You will have experience in management of ICT environments within the Australian Government, Citrix support and VMWare virtualisation administration.
Eligibility
Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) or, in limited circumstances, be in the process of obtaining citizenship.
Successful candidates must satisfy AHL’s pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal History Check, and a Health Declaration and/or a fitness for duty assessment.
Minimum 7 years’ experience as an ICT administrator and can mentor junior engineers.
Note: Baseline Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is preferred. Commencement may proceed without a clearance.
